Yes, subliminal Mylar! In case you missed it, there is a "missing scene" of not-so-subtle Mylar smex here (http://brighteyed-jill.livejournal.com/14226.html#cutid1).
Monty's power certainly helps save the day. As it should... Now I kind of want to write grownup!Simon and grownup!Monty. Hiro and Ando just don't slash for me for some reason. They work better as wacky comedy duo.
I'm glad you saw kind of where I was going with the Doctor Seuss stuff, even if it did turn out the othe way 'round. And I had to let the symbol end up a good thing. I agree about the swastika. Dan Bern has a song called "My Little Swastika" with the lyrics: The Chinese had it for 20,000 years/ the Nazis took it and made it spell tears. Yes, I'm kinda geeky too.
As for Jessica and D.L., well, what jaune_chat said is true. Basically Hiro saw them die, bent time to go back to the moment where he could save Jessica (which saved D.L. because he didn't run out after her), and so they ended up with everyone else during the escape. I know I didn't give as much "screen time" to exploring that aspect as I did to some other things, but I really didn't want to stop the momentum of the Nathan/Peter scene to explain more, so... there you have it!
