Big Boom?

In case you're not watching heroes_bigboom, you should know I just posted a poll about whether the event should take place this year. If you're not familiar with the Big Boom, that's okay! It's a challenge patterned after the spn_j2_bigbang. Basically, writers have several months to write a fic novella (20,000 words or more). Participating artists then choose fics for which they create art or videos, and all are posted over a few weeks leading up to the season premiere of Heroes in the fall. Doesn't that sound like it's made of awesome? Go check out the posting at the community to offer your opinion.

Oh, that's badass =D I saw people doing stuff for it last summer, but didn't know what it was. I think I can do a 20,000 word fic over the summer. And to have other people possibly make art of it is even cooler!

Big Boom is rockin'! And from the way the survey's looking, I think we might even go a bit shorter, like 15000 words or something. But it's fun to collaborate with artists and authors. It's like a big Heroes fandom group hug that goes on all summer!

I voted in favour. I didn't participate last time, being late to the fandom and all. Is there any restrictions on what type of fic you write though, or is it all entirely up to you with only a word limit to adhere to?

You should totally participate this time! No restrictions on type of fic, prompts you have to choose from, etc. You just sign up and write whatever. We usually do have a prompt post just to share bunnies, but many people choose to do a fic on which they've been ruminating a while. I hope to talk to some folks about co-modding and start getting the Boom kicked off as early as next weekend!
