And now... The sequel to my
heroes_bigboom story begins! I hope to be able to post a new chapter each week. Let me know what you think!
Ttitle: In the Forests of the Night – Chapter One (of Ten)
Author name:
brighteyed_jill
Characters: Ensemble, Peter/Nathan in later chapters. Other slashiness if you squint.
Rating: NC-17 overall (PG this chapter)
Word Count: 3,000
Warnings: Violence, angst, adult situations, slash.
Spoilers: Through the end of Season 1. This future fic’s past only follows canon through that point, so anything happening in the current season never happened for these characters.
Summary: (This is the sequel to Love’s the Burning Boy. I suggest you read it first, but if you can’t, you can probably catch on pretty quickly.) If you can’t change the past, you have to live with the present and work toward a better future. Nathan attempts to lead, Peter finds a new path, and Mohinder has to decide what side he’s on. Hiro and his team try to bring all the pieces together while other special people are working towards a different end.
( There was no one in the front room, no one guarding the door. Hiro exchanged an uneasy glance with Ando. )
