brighteyedjill: Bones is pensive (ST: McCoy in gray)
Title: Saving Face
Pairing: Mirror!Kirk/Mirror!McCoy
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Inherent Mirror!verse issues of consent.
Author’s notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] skeptic7 who won my services at [livejournal.com profile] hope_in_sight. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] redandglenda and [livejournal.com profile] jaune_chat for beta services and title help. This story is a sequel to Disciplinary Action, and though it can be understood on its own, if you haven’t read it, you might want a catch-up (see below).
Previously, on Star Trek: Spock took exception to Kirk cheating on the Kobayashi Maru, so he tied Kirk up and made him watch while he fucked McCoy. Luckily, the whole thing was really an overture towards an alliance (because otherwise Spock would so be in a sack at the bottom of the San Francisco Bay right now).
Summary: McCoy faces punishment for failing Kirk, but Kirk has started to see his toy in a different light.

McCoy didn’t see any alternative but to ride the wave of Kirk’s anger and try to keep the damage to a minimum.  )

What's that you say?!

So what is this now? It's a charity auction to benefit RAINN, The Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network. Who totally deserve your support.

You can buy my mad skillz. I'll write you slash in Heroes or Star Trek, or I'm open to other fandoms if you ask first. Last year I wrote Pretender, FFS. So I'm willing to stretch for charity! Want to see a sequel to something I've already written? That's open to negotiation. Jonesing for some old-school Nathan/Peter or Sylar/Luke? I'm your gal. Have a hankering for filthy McCoy/Kirk/Chekov? I can do zat. Kink meme prompt you've always wanted to see filled? Bring it on. Come on, you know you want to make me your fic bitch!

Also, if you want to help out in a different way, there's still time to sell yourself! Read the FAQ to find out more. Come on, people. I need some more things to compulsively bid on! Go sell out!

brighteyedjill: Bones is pensive (ST: McCoy - where's the porn?)
Because I've written 3200 words of one of my [livejournal.com profile] hope_in_sight fics today (one that might possibly involve Luke and Sylar), I don't feel bad announcing this here.

My offering (fanfic in any one of my fandoms) is here.

There's still time to sell yourself if you'd like. Read the FAQ to find out more. Bidding begins April 1st and ends April 9th. The benefit charity is RAINN, The Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network. It's a cause worth supporting, so get ready to bid!

Forget for a second that he’s a Petrelli. )

Are you, like me, way too lazy to click through forty LJ entries? Well then, you're in luck. I've gatehred up links to all 40 Heroes-related items being offered for the fandom auction [livejournal.com profile] hope_in_sight. I considered leaving off the things I was bidding for so's none of ya'll would get any ideas, but I decided that wasn't fair. So here be all sorts of Hero-y things you can buy. Buy a gift for your friend. Treat yourself to a fannish delight. It all goes to a good cause.

Go ye forth and bid! )

1.) Still haven't seen last night's Heroes, but my f-list has been remarkably good about cutting spoilers. Thanks guys!

2.) Did some shopping today for a secret santa thing I'm part of, and it's going to be awesome. Man do I love giving people presents.

SPEAKING OF PRESENTS!

3) [livejournal.com profile] hope_in_sight, a fandom auction, is going on right now. There are several important things you should know.

a) Proceeds are going to an important surgery for [livejournal.com profile] megmatthews20. This is a good cause, yo.

b) I am selling myself (like I do). You can bid for a Heroes fic or a Star Trek Mirror!verse Fic.

c) There are lots of other awesome things on offer, like podfic, cookies, and fic by awesome groovy neato people. Plus lots of other stuff, which you should check out.

d) And in the feeding frenzy of early bidding wars last night, I wanted some instant gratification, and so bought myself a tarot reading from [livejournal.com profile] speccygeekgrrl. She did an awesome job. The interpretation was detailed and very relevant to the question I asked. So hooray for life guidance! She's auctioning off an unlimited number of these, so if you want to experience the thrill of victory and score some tasty tidbits of wisdom, you should buy one.

e) No seriously, why are you still at my journal? Go to the auction!

I'm alive! And still suffering from life craziness, but things have mellowed out considerably in the past week.

I'm working on writing a few things for exchanges and memes and wish lists. After all, 'tis the season. So if you posted a wishlist (or are going to post one), don't be shy: link me! I'm going to put up a wishlist... at some point...

[livejournal.com profile] hope_in_sight, an awesome fannish charity auction, starts tomorrow, and I'm offering at least one custom-written fic of the Star Trek Mirror!verse variety. I could be persuaded to offer a Heroes fic too, but I still have a few hours to decide.

If you want to offer something, you have until midnight EDT to put it up. You should do it! Sell yourself for charity! You know you want to!

Also, for the record, I'm two episodes behind on Heroes, and I have no wish to know what happens in tonight's episode until I get around to watching it this weekend. So please, please don't spoil me! Or I'll get out my angry eyes.
brighteyedjill: Bones is pensive (Peter: and his pillow)
My lovely Sweet Charity ho, [livejournal.com profile] dodificus, has finished her podfic of my [livejournal.com profile] heroes_bigboom story from last year: Into the Living Sea. I am soooo happy with it! Dodie does a great hurt Peter voice (which is kinda important, with all the angst Peter goes through in this fic), and she handles the dirty parts well, too *blush*. I've been listening to it in chunks as a bedtime story for the past several days. And I hadn't read the story in so long that I'd totally forgotten about several parts!

Check out her dulcet Aussie tones, and be sure to leave her feedback if you download.

I is a sucky commentator! I have been so wrapped up in getting the [livejournal.com profile] sncross_bigbang story I'm writing with [livejournal.com profile] jaune_chat ready for the draft deadline that I haven't done anything else, not even this! Well... beter late than never?

In other news, I still have a couple more kink meme fics to polish and re-post (do they never end!?) and then it's on to work on for my lovely Sweet Charity mistresses, [livejournal.com profile] pinkfinity and [livejournal.com profile] eldritchhobbit, and cracking the whip over my own Sweet Tarts, [livejournal.com profile] blithesea, [livejournal.com profile] pupnamedpeter, [livejournal.com profile] fluidkarma, [livejournal.com profile] pyro_monkey17, and [livejournal.com profile] xkelorosiamano. Yes, I bought a stable of Tarts. Yes, I'm comfortable with that.

Rambling commentary is rambling )
brighteyedjill: Bones is pensive (Sweet Charity)

Only five or so hours left to bid at Sweet Charity. It's all for a good cause, people! Go buy some fic, graphics, baked goods, jewelry, videos, whatever. How often do you get a chance to buy a custom fanwork? Not often. I'm selling two (two!) fics! *waggles laptop suggestively* Go ye and bid!

Just don't bid a Tart out from under me. I will sic Future!Peter on you.

brighteyedjill: Bones is pensive (Sweet Charity)

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. The Sweet Charity auction has begun. If you're new to this, you can read the bidding guidelines or the FAQ to get started. You do need to sign up/log in to play.

One confusing thing for me: when you go to the auction page, you must select the correct category (i.e. fiction, graphics, cloth merchants) to display the correct auctions. If you want to search by tag (i.e. heroes, .AU, or another fandom) you can do so under "For Sale" on the Auction tab. This is also where you can find the complete descriptions for the auction items.

I myself have been going crazy with the bidding. It's addicting! I just want to win me some awesome fic and graphics (and possible cookies...Mmmm...cookies).

The auction closes on March 31st at midnight GMT (meaning Tuesday night), so get biddy!
brighteyedjill: Bones is pensive (Sweet Charity)

First things first! Sweet Charity (click the banner to visit) is a biannual auction in which friendly fandom folks come together and pimp out their mad skillz to raise money for a worthy cause. I am auctioning off two fics: one of the prompt/pairing of your choice somewhere in the canon universe of one of my fandoms, and one AU or crossover, prompt/pairing of your choice, in one of my fandoms. Yes, that's right, you can buy me and make me write whatever you want! Always wanted to see what I would do with a certain plot bunny? Want to see me add to an existing universe? This is your chance to make me do it!

In this, the last ever Sweet Charity auction, the cause for which we're raising money is RAINN, the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network. I know that might seem ironic, considering what I usually write about, but I do understand the difference between fantasy and reality folks, and if my socially unacceptable writing can bring in money to help people in the real world, then awesome.

Right now people are signing up to ho themselves out. Anyone's welcome to become a Sweet Charity Ho (or sweet tart), and people auction anything from fic to baked goods to icons. Bidding starts on March 28th, so sign up at the website and get your Paypal account ready!

Okay, item the second. I wrote 13 stories over at the Heroes Anonymous Kink Meme. I'll be posting them all here in more polished states over the next couple weeks. But hopefully those will hold you over, because...

Item the third. [livejournal.com profile] jaune_chat and I are working furiously on our entry for [livejournal.com profile] spncross, so I won't be writing anything else until mid-April, probably. But the story we're working on is shaping up to be pretty fun.

Last item: Voting is going on this weekend for [livejournal.com profile] heroes_contest, in which my fic Where You Lay Down, There's My Bed in an entry. If you feel so inclined, go read the other entries and lay down a vote for the top three.

Phew! I think that's it. I'll work on answering comments today and tomorrow. Sorry for my tardiness!
