In case you're not watching heroes_bigboom, you should know I just posted a poll about whether the event should take place this year. If you're not familiar with the Big Boom, that's okay! It's a challenge patterned after the spn_j2_bigbang. Basically, writers have several months to write a fic novella (20,000 words or more). Participating artists then choose fics for which they create art or videos, and all are posted over a few weeks leading up to the season premiere of Heroes in the fall. Doesn't that sound like it's made of awesome? Go check out the posting at the community to offer your opinion.

Summary: After the events of Don’t Look Back, Nathan Petrelli has his brother committed to a mental institution. Peter suspects that Nathan’s reasons for locking him up have more to do with Nathan’s nervousness about his campaign and his guilt over his sexual relationship with Peter than with any noble concern for Peter’s well-being. In his attempts to get Nathan to relent, Peter unwittingly makes things worse, and then much worse.

( The Waldorf-Astoria ballroom was beautifully done up for the victory party, but at this moment Angela Petrelli was having trouble appreciating it. )

The Heroes Big Boom Challenge begins posting tomorrow! That means one fabulous epic-length (over 20,000 word) Heroes fic per day between now and the Season Two premiere.
