I found this epic (may I call it an epic?) at work a few days ago, and then spent my last hour doing nothing but reading this story. I obviously hadn't finished by the time my work day was up, so I raced home and finished it there. I have since read it at least once each day. And only now have I built up the courage to comment.
This story is so refreshingly brilliant, it makes me do a double take on every story I ever felt was good before. I should probably start by saying that I have never read Wincest or Petrellicest before (though in the wonderful world of slash fan fics, I was aware they existed). And although I find the incest component slightly uncomfortable to read, I couldn't tear myself away from this story. That is how good your story is.
I love both Supernatural and Heroes, and when I saw the pair up of both brothers, I was excited, but nothing prepared me for just how much your story would grab me and captivate me. I have thought of almost nothing else since.
Your work is truly inspiring, and has actually gotten me out of my own writer's block. The descriptions, the humor, the crazy hot sex... all of it is full of win. Dean was by far my favorite character (though he is on the show as well) and the "shits rainbows and puppies" line had me laughing loud enough I'm sure my neighbors heard.
The slow build up was by far one of the things I enjoyed most. Peter and Nathan were believably reluctant to share their powers, and I was glad when Nathan barely used his at all. Also, I loved that you included Sam's love of research as a factor (especially in connection to Nathan). Just to go semi off topic for a moment, I watched the most recent episode yesterday and Dean had a line that made my jaw drop - something about how much Sam loves his research and how he keeps it under his mattress next to his KY. In that second alone, I could hear the furious typing of fangirls around the world.
I just cannot say enough about this story, really. Thank you oh so much for sharing this. It may be the first and last cest fic I read, but that's okay, because everything else will pale in comparison to this.
