I KILL TREES!

Today's my
startrekbigbang day! Go check out 57,000 words of angst.
I do most of my writing during my train commute or my lunch hour, which means no laptop. Normally I write in a little black notebook, but once a story of any magnitude gets going, I tend to write scenes out of order, and I need to refer to what I wrote before, or I write a skeleton version of a scene (usually just dialogue) and need to fill it in. So I print out a section and edit on the train, and when I get home for the evening I transcribe it all. So I end up with a lot of marked up paper.
This time I saved it all and threw it in a stack on my trusty drafting table. This is the result: all the marked-up drafts of various sections of We Have Loved the Stars are in this pile right here.

Rain forests are weeping. But fans of angsty slave fic are rejoicing. I hope.

Date: 2009-11-24 09:37 pm (UTC)To be perfectly honest, I envy your ability to produce so much writing and your ability to be much more organized than I. *lol* Although I often feel that I kill many trees, aswell... but not for the same interesting subject/theme/story you are writing of -_-
[btw, I hope you don't mind me friending you; I've read a few of your fics - although I have not yet commented, (forgive me!) - and I really just think you are a great fic writer, so I really would like to get to know you better, if that's alright with you :) ]

Date: 2009-11-26 02:43 am (UTC)No, friend away. I like to meet new people. Most of my f-list is from the Heroes fandom, but I've got one foot firmly in Trek fandom nowadays, so it's nice to know some people from there, too. But it looks like you're new to Heroes fandom, so welcome! What's your favorite Heroes pairing so far? I have to go with Nathan/Peter as my top one, but apparently the one I've written the most of Sylar/Peter. I also enjoy Sylar/Luke, and other rarer pairings from time to time.
this is a_blind_hope under her star trek fandom journal, lol
Date: 2009-11-26 06:09 am (UTC)Hmm, yup, I've heard that from many people (and I usually do work better with a routine to go by) - it's just getting yourself into that routine that's the challenge!
LOL - actually I was talking about the "slave-fic" genre in general but, yeah, porn works as well. XD
Okay! :D *I've also friended you under this journal, too, because your Trek fic(s) rocks my socks, too, lol*
Thank you for the welcome! :D
I am very new to the Heroes fandom (a bit more seasoned in the Trek fandom but only by a few months) - I haven't even watched the three previous seasons! - but the fandom has been addictive and informative in varying degrees. *to say the least ^^*
My fav. pairing so far? Hmm, I can't decide on just one but I do have a few top, TOP ships I frequently indulge in ;)
{including one that will never, ever happen}
Sylay/Danny is what essentially got me into the Heroes fandom and thus my first OTP even though it is not apart of canon in any way, lol.
Nathan/Peter and then Sylar/Peter/Gabriel are really, really getting close to that top spot. There's also Mohinder/Sylar and Nathan/Peter/Sylar but they are indulged in less often as the first three I mentioned. I also like some Nathan/Claire/Peter here and there and am finding myself being drawn a little to Noah/Claire but only occasionally *lol*
Don't even get me started on the ST:XI shipping I do! XD *we'll be here all day*
