When Peter arrives back home (apparently the mansion is at 87th and Madison), Mom’s gone, but Nathan’s home. Awesome! Time for Petrelli on Petrelli violence. Peter gets indignant and self-righteous, Nathan remains aloof. But then he asks Peter out on a date. “Just dinner.” No expectation of sex, I promise.
I'm a little sad that you didn't seem to like the episode but this line did make me crack up. I think the boys just ooze innuendo without really trying to.
Peter, despite having a phobia of hugs after what happened with Arthur, hugs Nathan, and gets tazed by HRG for his trouble. Poor Peter is going to be having physical intimacy problems for years to come. Here's a hint, dear: if you mom (or any other Petrelli) asks you for a hug, kick her in the face. Nathan instructs HRG not to hurt Peter (any more than he has to when he drugs him up and kidnaps him), and goes off to have dinner alone. Now he doesn't have to worry about finding a place that caters to vegans.
Peter should definitely have a fear of hugs. Or at least a stronger sense of backstabbing to come when anyone in his immediate family gets to close, let alone asking for a hug.
