Twitter and State of the Fic

jaune_chat and I were chatting this morning, and she asked about Nathan's ring. We couldn't find a definitive answer on the interwebs to the origin of said ring, so what did I do? I Twittered to James, the Heroes on-set props master, and he informed me that it is indeed a Navy ring. Seriously. I asked a Heroes crew member, he gave me the answer. The wonders of technology!

I've been pretty busy with real life stuff (a show, a show, auditions, auditions!), but have fic stuff in the works. The sncross_bigbang fic I'm writing with jaune_chat is making its way in stages to our lovely beta, the talented Ms. redandglenda. It should be legen-wait for it-dery.

I'm cogitating on my heroes_exchange fic, as well as my two Sweet Charity fics. One of said Sweet Charity fics is (shock! gasp!) not in the Heroes fandom. Not even in the Supernatural fandom. Indeed, it may be in a fandom in which I have never written! What could it be, you ask? Stay tuned to find out.

Aside from those commitments, I'm also shepherding around a few other orphan bunnies, including some dom!Peter/sub!Nathan set near Coyote Sands. Seriously. Why must I require sleep?

I asked a Heroes crew member, he gave me the answer. Wow. I... Wow. The world is full of more possibility than I'd assumed.

I've sent off one heroes_exchange fic, but I always feel like I should write for all the prompts, so one out of five doesn't feel like much of an accomplishment.

And what is this dom!Peter you speak of? He doesn't break down and cry or anything? He's just...dom? Does he know how to do that?

But back on topic, yeah, I was blown away by Jill casually going, "Why, I don't know about Nathan's ring. Lemme just go contact the Heroes prop master." I picked my jaw up off the floor after a minute or two. This woman has mad phat connection skillz.

I have a couple ideas for my heroes_exchange fics, but I don't know if I can do all five. One of them is kind of similiar to one I wrote for the kink meme recently, and I don't think I want to retread that material too soon. I did all three of my prompts for the Valentine's Day exchange, but I think I got lucky with my prompts more than anything there. This time the fics are going to be spinning off in all sorts of weird directions... I'm contemplating a mighty odd pairing for the first of them. The Exchange - Bringing out kinks you didn't know you had since 2008!

*reads the pimped fic* I can see it. Very well-written and the way Peter brought it up with Nathan's reaction ('You would?') I just...I dunno, I'm really into the sub!Peter thang. Like, unhealthily into.

As for the mad communication skillz, I am extremely envious. But then, Heroes makes me jealous of people who live in New York, which is random because I'm quite happy where I am.

My exchange prompts were quite vague. I can't really go any more into it without spoiling the secrecy aspect I guess, but they're not the easiest thing to write for. Not plots, just like...I dunno, poetry titles or something. Tricky.

*Is glad you liked the fic* Oh, don't get me wrong, I like me some sub!Peter too. I like the Petrelli brothers in any orientation of top and bottom (I've written them both ways, because I have no socially redeeming value). They're just so very loveable any way I can get them.

My prompts were somewhere between moderately and very specific, which is fine, but I feel your pain on the poetry title prompts. I generally like slightly more meatier prompts. Best of luck to you!

Thanks Twitter! Yeah, it's neat to hear things directly from the crew that way. And the cast (since Grunberg, Brea Grant, James Kyson Lee, and David H. Lawrence XVII also Twitter) too!

Damn, you've got one exchange fic done?! *feels behind* I must get cracking!

Y'know, dom!Peter isn't my usual thing. Obviously I'm very into sub!Peter, but occasionally I like to try something off the beaten (heh) path. I prefer him crying, actually ;)

How I Met Your Mother!!!!! I love Neil Patrick Harris with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. Seriously, the man is magic. And that show has all sorts of good things going on with it, not the least of which is my boy Neil. I mean, Allyson Hannigan doesn't hurt either, but yeah. Legen--and I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the next word is-dary.

Heroes loves their fans! And we love them back. It's a good relationship.

I really wanted to have the Petrellicest done before tomorrow's episode, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Maybe. 10% chance. Sadly, it may have to wait until later in the week. But come on! I need more Nathan and Peter scenes to work with!
