First, a few items of squee:

1. Saw Star Trek in IMAX on Monday. The screen was so large, I thought I could see through time. Love love love.

2. Star Trek audio book arrived in the mail! As I mentioned before, it is read by Zachary Quinto. So excited to have a long drive ahead of me on Thursday. I'm actually interested to hear a version with more fleshed-out details. I guess that's the sign of a good plot, eh?

3. Dollhouse AND Castle are renewed? How could life be better?

4. My class on writing sex begins next week! This is how I envision the first night: "Hi, I'm Jill, and I write kinky gay porn based on television and movie characters. Can I get an amen? No? Er... A howdy, at least?"

Now, on the fic front:

1. My [livejournal.com profile] heroes_exchange fic is done and turned in (uh... obviously, since it was due last week). There's some great stuff going up over there, so go check it out!

2. After seeing the Trek movie a second time, it's possible I started writing another K/S fic. Uh oh! This one may or may not involve emotionallyvulnerable!Spock.

3. The first of my two Sweet Charity fics is underway, and it seems to be turning into a larger arc than I at first anticipated. Not that that's a bad thing; it's actually sort of exciting, since it's a fandom in which I've never written. I've been getting in some high-quality writing during my commute because the story is flowing like nobody's business. Yay Pretender!

4. I'm also working on a Nathan/Peter fic for [livejournal.com profile] fic_finishing this month. It's slow going, but it's going.

The upshot of all this fic activity is that if I get stuck on one thing, I can always pick up something else to get the pen rolling again. However, if I expect to finish all this before the end of the month, I need to stop mucking about on LJ and get back to work, damnit!

Also, I have two invite codes from Dreamwidth, so let me know if you want one.

I am SO JEALOUS of everyone who's getting to see Trek on IMAX. I'm fucked on that, there's not a theater within 200 miles of me showing it. D:

YAY FOR MORE TREK FIC. *high fives!*

Dude. The audio book. ZQ IS FUCKING AMAZING THAT IS ALL.

...you wouldn't maybe want to upload the soundtrack you're listening to, would you? >.> plz?

So sad, no IMAX! But yay for more fic. Seriously, K/S is eating my brain. It's horrible!

And uh, check your e-mail and let me know if the links work.

Also, your icons are always made of win. That is all.

I love cheese! But seriously, Michael Giacchino apparently has a thing for punny titles, because all the tracks on the Lost score CD are all that way as well. It's kind of endearing. Plus, y'know, I'd forgive him most things in exchange for his rockin' tunes.

I just finished the Trek audiobook. ZQ read it beautifully! And there were lots of additional scenes and tidbits, not to mention added context. And I loved, loved, loved the way it ended. I hope you enjoy it too.

And yay Pretender! :)

I started listening today, and already I'm in deep, abiding love with Zach and the way he voices the characters.

On the Pretender front, I'm using this as an excuse to watch episodes for "research." I watched Hazards last week, Gigolo Jarod yesterday, and Jaroldo today. Oh, the fond memories!

He voices the characters so well! I wasn't a ZQ fan before the film, I'll admit - don't throw tomatoes, please! LOL! - but he's converted me. And after listening to this audiobook, I'd now happily listen to him read the phone book. :)

Brilliant! :) I hope you don't mind if I take your "research" as an excuse to conduct some of my own. I'm feeling that Pretender nostalgia kicking in big-time!

I had a fondness for ZQ before, but I think I now officially love him (and his voice). I'm really enjoying listening to the book.

And definitely go for the research! Ah, the memories...

Heh heh. I'll report back after we see how it goes... And no, I'm just taking the class at a local writing workshop. It should be fun, as long as they don't mind my kinky, slashy ways...
